I first became aware of you through your wonderful contributions to ELP. I heard "Pictures" when I was 10 and have never been the same. I always appreciated your acoustic songs enormously and have been a fan ever since. I sing "Watching Over You" to my 6 year old daughter every night before she goes to bed. As a very young person I listened to Mussgorsky, Mendohlson, Handel and Mozart (still my favorites), yet having been exposed to ELP at the tender age of 12 I became aware of the fact that GOOD MUSIC could be experienced in many forms and that sophistication does not require a full orchestra,simply the understanding of one. Greetings: You are now about the same age my father was when I was born. He lived to see me through to my adulthood. You might even surpass him in age, and this would not surprise me in the slightest. I'm curious: are you a grandfather now? This year and the rest, I hope the quality of your days exceeds the quantity. If and or when I get around to "treebirthing", I intend to plant (at least) one each for you and for Babe. Please continue to try to keep some form of communication coming to us in whatever form you deem appropriate. It does not go unnoticed, I reassure you.
